The Best Show…

I’m lately listening to the archives for the Tuesday night talk comedy show “The Best Show on WFMU” With Tom Scharpling. It’s comedy call in show about pop culture with a troupe of regular callers that are the shows own “Whack Pack” (call me crazy but I got a radio crush on “Julie from Cintcinatti”). The show’s center piece are the imporov calls and bit provided by Scharpling and Wurstler.


Best of The Best Show podcast. is a free form public radio station out of Jersey City, NJ. With the most amazing potpouree of little known music that will never bore you .. although it could get on your nerves at times, depending on who and what is being spun by the dj. Some very strange shows.. check out the achives of this ledgendary radio station.

UPDATE: I spoke w/ Carlito, and as far as I can tell all is well. The cops saw is as bullshit, and all his equipment and PCs are returned to him untouched. Show will continure as normal! It’s doubtful there will be one for this week because of Christmas, but we shall see. He is overwhelmed by all the support from all over the internet community, thanks everybody!

“The TuckerMike Program”

This was my old long dead and forgotten Old Time Radio comedy podcast series. I did it for 2 years. It was part of a OTR podcast network. I never really knew how well I was getting promoted or is many were even subscribed and listening, because my feedback on it was maybe 2%.So it fell out of interest for me.

But it was my self taught training ground for how to do Internet radio, use the audio software and be an on air personality. Many of there on the libsyn page are a few months along so it’s not as shaky. Before these, I had the network head put together the final version for air and made it sound worse then my own horrible version, was already.

Hiya fellers, Jon over at (see previous entry) Told me that he has a special rate available on his wonderful put together collection of “Jack Benny Christmas”.
I bring it up only because “The Jack Benny Show” has to be one of my all time favorites. and the Christmas shopping episodes that were done every year are an institution. So that’s pretty cool to get all of them in one collection. Ortcat is always updating and getting the better quality versions, and also digging up a lot of thought lost episodes too. So if you think all this shit is old.. Well, if you never herd it before, then it’s fresh and new, right?


Oh, and also for you little spoiled rat bastards: unlike all those “stale old moves that are in black and white,” that you still refuse to watch. Old Time Radio shows are all in full spectrum color and in HD!
